Auto Gmail ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information in relation to our Google Workspace Add-on, Auto Gmail (the "Add-on"). By using our Add-on, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information Collection and Use

Google User Data Accessed

Our Add-on accesses the following Google user data:

1. Email content: We access the content of your emails to generate draft responses using the OpenAI API.
2. Email metadata: We access email metadata such as sender, recipient, subject, and date to provide context for draft generation.
3. User profile information: We access basic profile information such as your name and email address to personalize the Add-on experience.

How We Use Google User Data

We use the Google user data we access solely for the following purposes:

1. To generate email draft responses using the OpenAI API.
2. To improve the functionality and performance of our Add-on.
3. To provide customer support and respond to user inquiries.
4. To analyze usage patterns and optimize user experience.

We do not use Google user data for any other purposes, including but not limited to advertising, selling to data brokers, or training AI models unrelated to improving our Add-on's functionality.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or share any Google user data with third parties, except in the following limited circumstances:

1. With your explicit consent.
2. To comply with legal obligations, such as responding to lawful requests from public authorities.
3. To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, as well as that of our users or the public.
4. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, provided the acquiring entity maintains the same level of data protection.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain Google user data only for as long as necessary to provide our Add-on services, improve our services, and comply with legal obligations. Specifically:

1. Email content: We store email content to improve future email generation. This data is retained for a period of 12 months from the date of collection, after which it is automatically deleted.
2. Usage data and logs are retained for a maximum of 90 days for troubleshooting and improvement purposes.
3. User account information is retained for as long as you maintain an active account with us.

You can request the deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at privacy@autogmail.com. Upon receiving a deletion request, we will remove all associated data from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Data Protection and Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the Google user data we process. These measures include:

1. Encryption of data in transit and at rest.
2. Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
3. Strict access controls and authentication mechanisms for our systems.
4. Employee training on data protection and privacy best practices.

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the bottom of this policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

2. Request correction of any inaccurate information.
3. Request deletion of your personal information.
4. Object to or restrict the processing of your personal information.
